A CHALLENGE TO CANDIDATES
By Plinio Mendoza Apuleius
It is a heresy. Share with me many Colombians. Santigüen to hear that some of our noble jurists today in Colombia the greatest injustices borne by the Supreme Court. Nothing to do with the other times. Then, its judges had a long and rigorous judicial career. His decisions and rulings deserve respect. Not today. Judges without the same relevance are able to shield its eminently political judgment to be final.
His vengeful hostility to President Uribe explains, for example, the ban on their lists of candidates to the prosecution, and convictions without evidence given at the time against Mauricio Pimiento and Erik Morris and many security measures, including the new against the Senators Gallo and Gomez Mario Uribe when they are believed to be set free. Being friends of President Uribe is more serious for these judges to be one of the FARC.
But worse than resurrect or maintain biased security measures is the monstrous judgment given against Álvaro Araújo Castro.
Held over three years for allegedly sponsored kidnapping of Víctor Ochoa, such position collapsed when he found himself kidnapped entirely unfounded. Araújo was pending against an investigation for alleged contacts with the paramilitary leader "Jorge 40" in order to gain electoral benefits.
Never could be demonstrated neither the one nor the other. The strongest vote Araújo had it in the south of Cesar and the rest of the country, far from the places of 'Jorge 40'. After a confrontation with 77 witnesses called in for a test, the only charge up was handled by a woman named Dioselina Ramirez. Does your office? Have you ever seen Álvaro Araújo talking with the brother of a paramilitary.

Judge Ivan Velasquez ... a disgrace to justice
Following this and other accusations against two MPs more, all without evidence, she hoped to be sent abroad as witness protection, benefit, according to a statement made under oath, had been offered by the magistrate Iván Velásquez (whom Araujo had denounced criminally by hiding evidence).
Well, based on such testimony, the Supreme Court recently convicted Álvaro Araújo Castro to nine years and four months in prison and a fine of 3,700 pesos. Regardless of cerebral ischemia that kept him in jail residence, ordered his transfer to The Pillory. In vain that the IPU, Geneva-based organization founded in 1889, declared his "deep concern" about the irregularities in this process after subjecting him to severe study. Such objections, which had hurt the vanity of the Court, precipitated his sentence Araújo.
What risk the hands of our justice in a Velasquez! The military courts were unknown to them on the Constitution, and are left to an ordinary courts eroded by ideological prejudices against them. Will they aware of these ravings presidential candidates? What could propose to review miscarriages of justice, to restore the military court (only Sanin has offered) and prevent the Court from becoming an instrument of political revenge? "We must abide by the judges," says Antanas Mockus, always with his head in the clouds, hearing the alarm bells that unleashes a case like Araujo.
"Better to risk acquit ten guilty than convict an innocent man," once said a famous criminal. It is a warning that our magistrates, for political poison, pass quietly by.

Then Alvaro Araujo C. still in prison? there is nothing that the power of the union can do? that infamy if not proven anything ... as can condemn and destroy a person and a family and a state like that?? as relying on "justice" of our beloved country? That outrage. I am sure that like me, many people we would like to know a little more of Alvaro Araujo and perhaps write a Cartica support you for the hope that not all Colombians warrant that this deprived of his freedom. God save our country!
Sara ... all expect absolute clarity on this .. And yes, that God will protect this country ..!
For you, the Court is respectable only when it says what is best for the political patronage. I wonder how you benefit from this?. Large countries inevitably consitucionalistas respect to the Court, you speak like an ignorant, of which abound in the country and gave them a espaciecito on a page, read Dworkin, Cuenca, Tarufo, Perez Luño, Savigny and balances that are going to understand ... . You must be of those who applaud the pikes, disappearances and threats, if you talk like a narco-term widely used. And if you make it so bad why has not been released as judge, not a fallen accordingly the Sarzo. Every time I hear someone who thinks that way only I can fill me with sadness and shame, and then wonder why Mockus want education, not war. Educate yourself!
His Groceria and visceral, Marcela, confirm what was said by Pliny Apuleius. You, as the Court, acting on hatred, not conscience.
Don Pliny.
But the most serious and sad is the silence of journalism and the Congress and the military itself.
However, I have no doubt the time will expose these people and there will be justice. How. Let us leave that to God. Justice (and future), is inherent and unique to God.
